Come check us out!

We audition new members on a regular basis.

Do you love to sing?  Would you like to enhance your singing skills?

We love welcoming new members and making beautiful music together!

The Experience

The Platinum Show Chorus is more than just an a capella ensemble, we are a family. We love getting together each week, and sharing friendship as well as great music.

If you like to sing, you're invited to visit us!  Sitting in on one of our rehearsals is the perfect way to find out more about us, and what we can do for you!  You'll have the opportunity to hear us perform four-part, a cappella harmony, and you'll be invited to join us on the risers to experience the music, friendship and fun for which PSC is known!

Women of all ages are invited to attend.  For more information, contact us at [email protected]  Or you can reach our membership chair, Linda Cobb, by email: [email protected].

If you're a woman who loves to sing, we'd love to meet you!  Our members travel from all over Brevard County to sing with PSC.  To quote one of our members, "It's the love of singing that brought me to PSC.  It's the enthusiasm, fun and lasting friendships that keep me returning week after week.  I love it!"

Got Questions?

Let us answer the most often asked questions:

How much personal time will it take?

In addition to weekly full-chorus rehearsals, there are smaller group rehearsals, called sectional rehearsals, and quartet rehearsals, if you choose to join a quartet.

Our performances include on Annual Show, the annual regional Sweet Adeline's Competition held in the early spring, various group performances or hired "sing-outs", holiday shows held in December, occasional invitational performances, and other events as they come up.

What is the audition procedure?

You will be voice-placed at your first rehearsal, a short and simple one-on-one time with our Director Elaine to know where in the barbershop cone your voice lies, Tenor, Lead, Baritone, or Bass.  After attending a few rehearsals you will be given our audition materials: sheet music and a CD or thumb drive with the voice parts. When you are ready you request an audition. You will sing your part with three section leaders and director only, not the entire chorus. You are welcome to ask for practice auditions for feedback and help! After your audition, the section leaders and director will meet to decide if you have passed. If by chance you do not pass you have as many tries to pass as you need!  Here are the learning tracks for our audition song:

How We Sang Today - All Voices     How We Sang Today - Bass     How We Sang Today - Bari     How We Sang Today - Lead     How We Sang Today - Tenor

...and here's the sheet music:  How We Sang Today

Do I have to be a great singer?

No, you don't have to be a great singer. You simply need to have potential and the willingness to learn and grow as part of our chorus!

How do I learn the songs?

Several options are available for song memorization. First, singing alongside a seasoned member of your voice section. Sheet music is provided to all chorus members free of charge, there are learning CDs, audio recordings, sectionals, one-on-one voice coaching, and so much more. Repetition and at-home practice is essential to song memorization. Feel free to ask the members of your section, your section leader, the group with whom you sing on the risers, or others to help you work on your songs!

Come grow with us!
